Art Chick Chic

Where or where did she end up? I created this art-winged angel for a silent art auction for which I could not attend. She did get auctioned off I am told but wondered where or where she did end up. Part of my Spindly Personalities series, her body is fashioned from an antique staircase spindle. Her wings are made from a wooden paint palate and skirt from mouldable wire mesh. Her stunning height of 32" is given rise by an iron candlestick. If you know of her whereabouts... I'd love to hear!

Resin Epoxy Photo Workshop

Take a beloved photo, add some great text, seal the project in a crystal clear, glass finish, epoxy resin.
Voila! Masterpiece.

Up, Up and Away!

Isn't this fun! In this mixed media piece, the cow is being carried off by straps into space(?). He also has feathers on his back to aid in his elevation. Various antique buttons give girth to his belly and give his eyes a Coraline-esque appearance. The 16" X 20" original painting, on a gallery-depth canvas, is finished with a top coat of glossy resin epoxy.

A winter's retreat?

So my friend Christine and I went on a hike in the woods on our first snow day. We stumbled accross this shack and wondered if someone lived there. No, could it be? Maybe it is a hunting cabin? A summer retreat where they forgot to put away the patio furniture for the winter? Regardless of what it is I had to take a picture for it's artistic beauty. With the first snow fall, everything is art!

Getting Started

So, 2 failed personal and one professional websites later, i have decided to try to keep the World abreast of my artisitc endeavours through a blog site. Don't laugh. For those of you who know me, this is a feat. For those who don't know me, my hubby has dubbed me 90% Lady (referring to my completion of things) and I call myself the Queen of Good Enough. 'Nuff said!
